Ol Pejeta Bush Camp is a traditional tented safari camp, set on the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River in the 100,000 acre Ol Pejeta Wildlife Conservancy. Ol Pejeta Wildlife Conservancy and Ol Pejeta Bush Camp’s aim is to take game-viewing and environmental knowledge to a whole new level, and is ideal for those wishing to get a bit more out of their safari. The owner-managed camp gives a unique safari experience, described by guests as ‘the real Africa’, offering interactive conservation activities, whereby guests are given the opportunity to experience modern wildlife conservation first-hand.

Day 4 – Mathews Range,

This morning you will be transferred to the Kamok airstrip for your private charter flight to Kitich Camp departing at 10h00. On arrival you will be met by a Kitich Camp representative and transferred to the camp. Accommodation is booked for 3 nights on a full board basis.

Kitich Camp

The Mathews Mountain Range rise up out of the desert; a chain of peaks covered in dense dewy forest. In a remote valley, Kitich Camp overlooks a river glade within the lush indigenous forest. The forest is home to elephant, leopard, bushbuck, buffalo, as well as ancient cycads, spectacular butterflies, Turacos and wild orchids. With only six guest tents, one can expect complete privacy. Each en suite tent is traditionally safari-style, with an al-fresco stone bathroom. Walk along forest paths guided by the Samburu and Ndorobo people, or swim in natural rock pools of the crystal mountain streams, Kitich Camp is an authentic ‘bush camp’ and offers a truly unique and private forest wildlife experience.
