Shaded by large trees are five double tents each with private verandah with two open air bathrooms and a beautiful dining and lounge area, all overlooking the river.
Nahim attends to his guests personally. His style is relaxed and informal with a flexible approach to taking guests on game drives. Nahim has many years of experience and will entertain his guests with lots of stories around the campfire about samburu culture, wildlife encounters and daily living in the bush. Simple and unpretentious the camp offers a close encounter with nature.
Activities include: game drives, camel rides, nature walks, cultural village visit and a dip in the pool at Buffalo Springs.
How to get to Lion King Camp
The camp is situated near the Uaso Gate and 15 minutes drive from the airstrip with daily flights to Nairobi. Samburu can also be reached by road, a 500km drive on a good tarmac from Nairobi.

Lionking Safari Camp Rates 2012
- High Season: July & August, December & January:80 euro per person per night
- Rest of year: 65 euro per person per night
The prices are per person on a full board basis, not included are extra activities (e.g. game drives), alcoholic beverages and park fees.
