Set in expansive and mature wooded gardens, the lodge has an ethnic design that incorporates traditional round buildings with thatched roofs for its guest rooms and public areas.
The 90 room Mara Sopa Lodge was sympathetically built in traditional Maasai style and its location provides ample opportunity for game viewing within the park, which is only a short drive away. The forested slopes of the Ngama Hills provides one of the more likely places to view the Mara’s 20 or so black rhino as well as offering some great elephant sightings on the fringes of the forest.
Accommodation:Mara Sopa lodge has 90 spacious, cottage style rooms with en suite bathrooms and verandas. Every room has a private, elevated verandah on which guests can relax and enjoy the views. Mini-bars are also available in each room along with 24 hour electricity.

- Children under 3 yrs of age -Free of Charge
- Children 3-12 yrs sharing 50% of adult rate
- Children 3 -12 years occupying own room 75% of adult rate
Mara Sopa rates are inclusive of: full board accommodation and are net of holiday supplements. Rates DO NOT include park fees.
SUPPLEMENTS
- A Christmas supplement of $40 per person will apply to all booking on 24th, 25th, 26th 31st of December 2010 and 1st January 2011.
- An Easter supplement of $35 per person will apply to all bookings on 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th of April 2010.

- Weather:Minimum temperatures of 11 degrees Celsius and maximums of 32 degrees. The short rains fall between November and December and the long rains between April and May.

- By Road:240kms from Nairobi or about five hours on tarmac and all weather murram roads.
- By Air:The flying time from Nairobi to a nearby airstrip is about 1 hour.
