Walking Wild
Based out of the Lewa Wilderness Trails lodge, Walking Wild is an opportunity to explore the remote valleys, hills and plains of the famous Lewa Wildlife Conservancy. In the quest to deliver this region first hand to its guests Lewa Wilderness has compiled a team of expert walkers to unlock the very best of this exceptional safari region.
Sleeping a maximum of eight this small but specialist safari unit is able to achieve feats that vehicles cannot and embodies everything that a genuine mobile safari should. It is low impact, traditional and packed full of adventure.
The camp is fully staffed and guests need only enjoy the journey and what nature puts in their path. A chance to experience the dawn and dusk, the birds and beetles and of course the larger mammals that range freely across this private safari conservancy and beyond. Each Walking Wild tent unit has the capability to sleep a couple on top grade bed rolls. Each tent comes with its own separate, but private, shower and toilet tent. The tent has been specially designed to offer privacy but yet not deprive its occupants of the African stars.
Led by the experienced Lipan Kitonga, who has walked these lands since he was a child, and has at his finger tips a range of fantastic camp sites to suit the season, game movements and guests’ preferences. Each is guaranteed to offer to the very best of Lewa at that time.
Each and every walk belongs to those on that particular journey.
