Lodge Rating: a Five stay Luxury Camp
Amboseli is best known for its unrivalled views of Kilimanjaro and the local elephant population. There are over 1000 elephants in the parks eco-system, featuring some of the largest in Africa. Tortilis Camp is named after the flat-topped, umbrella thorn tree, the Acacia Tortilis, and is situated in one of Amboseli's areas of Acacia Tortilis woodland, with the majestic backdrop of Africa's highest mountain, and the World’s highest free-standing mountain, snow-capped Kilimanjaro. Game drives, walks, sundowners and bush meals take place both inside the park, and within a private 30,000 acre game concession.
Accommodation: All the 17 Tortilis Camp tents are large and spacious, with king or twin beds, elegant en suite bathrooms. There is a main lounge, bar and dining area, all exquisitely built with natural materials and thatched roofs, with magnificent views of Kilimanjaro.
For those travelling with their family the Tortilis Family House is the ideal place to stay in and consists of 1 en-suite double bedroom, 1 en-suite twin bedroom, and a spacious sitting / dining room with veranda.
All tents at Tortilis Camp can fit one extra bed, for children under the age of 16 yrs only.

Owned and Managed by professional guides, Tortilis Camp emphasis is on a complete safari experience – fun, intellectually stimulating, oneness with nature: During your stay at Tortilis Camp you can undertake the following Activities:-
Game Drives at Amboseli National Park
- Guided bush walks within the 30 000 acre private game sanctuary adjoining the park

- By Road from Nairobi-Aproximately 4 hours
- Client from Tanzania are Picked from Namanga at a cost of US$ 250 per vehicle
