The Hotel
Situated in Nyeri, in a serene setting that provides a wholesome experience of business, leisure and adventure,Outspan hotel is set in a well-tended tropical garden and rolling lawns with views of Mount Kenya.
Lord Baden Powell, founder of the Scouting movement spent the last three years of his life here in a cottage called Paxtu which is still preserved to date. To “Outspan” means to “unharness”. This was the place where the traveler would unharness his weary oxen on their travels to the north.
ACCOMMODATION:Outspan hotel has a total guest rooms of 45; and are all fitted with satellite TV, telephones and tea/coffee making facilitiesThe rooms comprise of:14 Deluxe This is the modern wing with some rooms recently refurbished. Bathroom unit has shower and bathtub separately. 3 Deluxe Cottages. These have one main bedroom and a smaller one for a child and a sitting room. 28 standard rooms. Of which 19 have a fire place and 2 interconnecting rooms ideal for families.

Child Policy
- Children rates are only applicable to ages below 12 years. Infants below 3 years of age are charged free of charge while children from 3 to 12 years of age are charged 50% of the adult rate. Children of 12 years of age or above are charged 100% of the adult rate
- 3rd Adult sharing a double/twin room will be charged the single rate discounted by 50%
